I photograph cowboys in harsh places where nothing is protected and you either adapt or you don’t last. In those same places, perennial flowers grow. It feels out of context at first — a flower and a cowboy don’t seem to belong in the same conversation. But they live under the same conditions. Same sun. Same wind. Same hard seasons. The connection is simple. It’s symbiotic. Both survive through exposure. Both return. Both are tough.
Under the Sun is about endurance in unforgiving places — and the beauty that comes from staying long enough to be shaped by them.
