The idea set forth that people are shaped by their environments is an undeniable truth. What seems to be more interesting than the environment is the effect it has on each individual. Within a moment, a scene was captured where each person viewing the event was so interconnected that expressions, emotions, and gestures were almost perfectly synchronized. The dichotomy between the elegance of the tradition and the brutality of the dominating finale yields infinite moments within a moment. These photographs are all extracted from the overview single photograph “Bull Fight Arena”. Each person’s face is a cropped enlargement from the overview image. The prints are on Japanese gampi paper and treated with encaustic wax to yield transparent/translucent imagery that is supported on the paper medium.
